From Silence to Empowerment: A Personal Journey Ignites Afterglow's Mission
Women between the ages of 40 and 54 are navigating one of the most transformative stages of their lives—perimenopause and menopause. This phase brings a myriad of physical and emotional changes, yet many women find themselves overwhelmed by conflicting information: alarming myths, incomplete advice, and an isolating silence. The fear of judgment often prevents open discussions about their symptoms.
At Afterglow, we understand this struggle intimately because our founder has lived it. Her journey through challenging perimenopause was marked by uncertainty and loneliness. Despite her efforts to find answers, the available information was fragmented and often driven by fear. It wasn’t until she connected with compassionate professionals—her OBGYN and pelvic floor physiotherapist—that she discovered relief and renewed strength.
Now, she is determined to offer other women what she once lacked: a safe, supportive space to learn, share, and thrive.
At Afterglow, we are on a mission to change the conversation around menopause. Instead of fear, we choose empowerment. Instead of silence, we foster community. We envision a world where every woman can approach this phase of life with confidence, clarity, and pride—because menopause is not the end of a woman’s vibrancy; it’s an Afterglow.
With us, you’re not just another client - you’re part of a global community.
We're committed to creating a community where women can share, learn, and grow together. Plus, we're pretty fun to be around (if we do say so ourselves)!
Afterglow Menopause Wellness is a Proud Partner of the global organization Menopause Experts Group (MEG) and a Certified Menopause Champion.
In 2020, MEG was conceived as the brainchild of Dee Murray, a former Advanced Psychotherapist, who recognized the glaring gap in resources for individuals encountering perimenopause and post-menopause, and the lack of expertise to support every aspect of symptom management, whether naturally or clinically, or both.
